Songwriter-performer, John Scheaffer, was influenced at a young age by live polka and gospel music played during family reunions in the coal regions of Pennsylvania. His new- found love of music carried on as he listened to his father’s vast collection of Country, Blues, R&B and Classic Rock & Roll records. Arriving in Los Angeles in 1994, he spent six years collaborating, recording and performing in various bands. In 2000, he headed back east and settled in New York City where he continued to collaborate and perform with fellow songwriters. Scheaffer finally assembled his own band, Ceramic and signed on with the independent record label, Mother West, releasing their self-titled EP in 2005. |
